In terms of single use plastics, we think plastic should be used over and over again because it has a value beyond its first use. If we can get this right, no plastic should be used only once.

By the end of the year 70 percent of our bottles will be made from plastic that has already been used and all our bottles can be recycled again.

We are working towards reducing unnecessary and hard to recycle single-use plastics, through improved design, innovation or the use of recycled alternatives.

Globally, we have committed to an ambitious goal: to help collect and recycle a bottle or can for every one we sell by 2030 – regardless of where it comes from.

In Australia Coca-Cola Amatil is investing in recycled plastic and has invested significantly in the container deposit/refund schemes currently being introduced in Australia.

We’re also investing in promotion and marketing to support the public to recycle. Everyone has a role to play and we know that every action, no matter how big or small will make a difference.

We don’t want any bottle to end up in landfill or our waterways. We want those bottles to be recycled so we have a chance to use the plastic again and we’ll invest to ensure we use that recycled plastic in our bottles.
